A new report on asbestos has been presented by the National Assembly in France. It contains 51 concrete proposals for improving the prevention and the compensation of victims. The report calls for a worldwide ban of asbestos.

The Health and Safety department of ETUI-REHS has contributed to the report during a hearing held in December 2005.
