Under its 2008 programme, presented by t he Minister of Labour, Billy Kelleher T.D, the HSA plans to increase by 10% the number of inspections in the workplace and to include sectors that were previously little concerned, such as hotels, restaurants and financial institutions. The HSA will also continue its campaign targeting managers, to make them aware of their social responsibilities. Finally, a study will be carried out on the frequency of accidents affecting foreign workers, higher than that for Irish workers.
