ILO: launch of the first global report on discrimination at work
The study, the first of its kind and the most comprehensive to date, is entitled "Time for Equality at Work". It addresses all forms of discrimination. The report shows that many of those who suffer from discrimination - especially on the basis of their sex or colour - face a persistent "equality gap". Workplace discrimination remains a persistent global problem, with new, more subtle forms emerging. Nevertheless, some progress has been made, as formal condemnation of discrimination at work and action to stop it has been taken in many places.
