A report, released recently, highlights the shortcomings in the collection, treatment and communication of French statistics related to occupational diseases and work accidents. This audit report was carried out by the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The authors believe that statistics are taken into account efficiently. If they were analysed in greater depth, they could help identification and prevention of new risks.
