Four video clips for better prevention of occupational cancer
The INRS, the French Health and Safety Executive, has recently produced four video clips to help improve health and safety prevention at work.
The video clips focus on the prevention of occupational cancers, showing that workers are faced with real health hazards whereas old clichés try to prove the contrary such as for example : "dust has never caused the death of anyone".
The INRS video clips are available on the Internet. Each clip last approximately 2 minutes and can be used as an introduction for training sessions or debates on workers' health and safety.
According to different studies, between 4.5% to 8% of the total number of cancer are caused by exposure to carcinogens at the workplace. Each year, 150,000 French citizens die from cancer.
