France: Cancer and occupation

A recent French survey shows how it is difficult for cancer patients to maintain their job. When a first cancer diagnosis is made, about 40 % of the patients are working. Two years after, the percentage is about 30%. Most of the patients consider that their health condition has resulted in some discimination and/or in earnings losses and other economic difficulties.
