The human cost of Chinese economic boom

On April 11, 2006, the French newspaper Libération has published a story on Xiditou, a village with a high concentration of private owned chemical factories. The rate of cancer in Xiditou is  25 times the national average. Data on cancer are classified in China as State Secret.
