Working and health and safety conditions of Québec workers: a new report

Working and health and safety conditions of Québec workers is a report written by Michèle Gervais, Paul Massicotte, et Danièle Champoux for the IRSST (2006).
The transformation of the working world is creating new conditions likely to affect the health and safety of workers. Researchers used the data from the Enquête générale sur la santé et le bien-être de la population, conducted in 1998 by the Institut de la statistique du Québec, to paint a sectoral and occupational profile of these organizational and physical conditions. They document the special case of small companies, develop indicators, and analyze exposure to specific types of stress as a function of workers' age and sex. This report provides workplaces and the health and safety network with useful information for their interventions.
