According to a study, published in January by a an institution related to the ministries of Labour and Research, arduous working conditions are a growing concern in France. The main results of the study are:

9.8 millions workers are concerned by physical strain at work,
3.3 millions employees work during the night,
1.7 millions are exposed to toxic substances.

The report also unveils disparities between sectors in terms of work strain.
