Occupation and malignant lymphoma: a population based case control study in Germany
09/01/2006.
A recent German study evidences the link between malignant lymphoma and the following economic/industrial sectors: food products, beverages, tobacco, paper products, publishing and printing, and metals. The study was published in the last issue of Occupational and environmental medicine. The authors observed an increased overall lymphoma risk among architects; maids; farmers; glass formers; and construction workers. The study showed a particularly pronounced risk increase for farmers as well as for agriculture and animal husbandry workers.
According to the authors, there is a need for additional multinational epidemiological studies.
