Quality of working life in the Czech Republic

Based on results of the survey ‘Measuring the quality of working life’, a recent report from the Dublin Foundation describes the nature and organisation of work for Czech employees. It also analyses work performance, motivation, job satisfaction and internal communication.

Among the findings of a Czech survey on quality of working life are: a considerable proportion of Czech employees report a lack of autonomy in their work (one- third of employees), having monotonous jobs (one-third of employees), while 50% assess their job as tiring and tedious; good basic pay remains the most important motivator and source of loyalty to the employer; communication with direct supervisors was assessed more positively than overall communication within the company; the most satisfied employees are those working in higher positions.
