Council political agreement reached on the amendment of the Machinery Directive
The Competitiveness Council of 24 September reached a political agreement on the proposal for a directive amending Directive 95/16/EC related to the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to machinery. After finalisation of the text, the Council will formally adopt its common position at one of its forthcoming meetings and will forward it to the European Parliament for second reading.
