Sweden, the result of important hospitals' inspections: clear improvements of the working environment
The working situation of the personal working with heavy ward requiring patients has improved on several points. Lifting aids are present and sufficiently available in the most of the 170 inspected ward units.
The managers and the personal of those units are concerned by the prevention of hazards in their working environment. Some deficiencies are still present such as the weight of beds and stretchers used for patients' transportation… on-going assessment routines linked to care dispensation should be created.
